Transmission Properties in Plasma Photonic Crystal Controlled by Magnetic Fields

چکیده
The transmission properties in two-dimensional plasma photonic crystal composed of and yttrium–iron–garnet rods with square lattices are demonstrated under different electron densities external magnetic fields. TE TM modes respond to the permittivity tensor permeability produced by field. For polarization, two distinct attenuation peaks appear ranges 3.4–3.62 GHz 3.78–4 GHz, induced fields, location these can be modulated modifying densities. a flat spectrum was obtained range 4–4.6 dB increasing density 3×1012 cm−3. Then, Y-shaped waveguide is designed. path changing direction By regulating density, switching on off achieved.

15 صفحه اولRigid and differential plasma crystal rotation induced by magnetic fields
Observations show that plasma crystals, suspended in the sheath of a radio-frequency discharge, rotate under the influence of a vertical magnetic field. Depending on the discharge conditions, two different cases are observed: a rigid-body rotation (all the particles move with a constant angular velocity) and sheared rotation (the angular velocity of particles has a radial distribution). When th...
متن کاملToward photonic-crystal metamaterials: Creating magnetic emitters in photonic crystals
In this work, we explore the possibility of designing photonic crystals to act as magnetic metamaterials: structures that exhibit magnetic properties despite the nonmagnetic character of their constituents. The building blocks of a magnetic material are microscopic magnetic dipoles, and to create a synthetic analog we employ point-defect modes in a photonic crystal. We begin by identifying a po...
متن کاملMagnetic imaging in photonic crystal microcavities.
We demonstrate the nonresonant magnetic interaction at optical frequencies between a photonic crystal microcavity and a metallized near-field microscopy probe. This interaction can be used to map and control the magnetic component of the microcavity modes. The metal coated tip acts as a microscopic conductive ring, which induces a magnetic response opposite to the inducing magnetic field. The r...
متن کاملTunable superlensing by a mechanically controlled photonic crystal
We investigated negative refraction and subwavelength imaging by a mechanically tunable photonic crystal (PC) slab. A honeycomb-structured PC composed of a silicon–polyimide membrane was used because it exhibits isotropic negative refraction within the second photonic band. Using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method, we demonstrated focusing properties of the PC lenses at various fre...
